How to Walk in True Freedom

Do you feel discouraged? Weighed down by guilt? Maybe shame? Are you going through a rough time? Feeling alone? But you are feeling stuck and stagnant? Are you barely hanging on? Are you just going through the motions? Do you keep going around the same circles? Making the same mistakes? Having the same limitations?

Instead of going through life with these heavy burdens we can walk in true freedom and in the fullness of everything the Lord has for us. Do you want to feel the presence of God?  Do you want to know God in a deeper way? Do you want to walk in freedom?

The key to true freedom is intimacy with Jesus!

Here are Two Ways to Position Yourself for True Freedom

  1. It starts with an invitation. Psalm 25:14 (TPT)- There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near him and receive the revelation-secrets of his promises. There is an invitation set before you, choose wisely. The Lord is looking for those willing vessels, those that desire to seek Him and acknowledge our need for Him. Be passionate about Jesus. Spend the time in the secret place with the lover of your soul. Hear His revelation secrets. Find your purpose and then do it. But it all starts with accepting the invitation.
  2. Preparing in the Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)- All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. Every verse we read is God preparing us for the day. Allow His word to penetrate your heart and mind.

The enemy wants to keep us bound but God wants us delivered and free. But how do we get true freedom? First, we need to realize true freedom comes from the power of God and our intimate time with Him. He wants to fellowship with us. He wants us to long for His presence. He wants us to pour ourselves out in His presence. Just like Mary and her alabaster jar, she poured out all she had. And just like Mary we need to know that sitting at the feet of Jesus is the good part.

We underestimate the power made available to us when we spend time with Jesus, time that we have taken lightly. We are limited to see in the natural because we don’t position ourselves to see what is happening in the spiritual realm. There is a daily battle for your attention but it’s your choice. Either be distracted by the pressures of your life or be focused on Jesus.

Satan wants to keep us separated from the power of God’s glory we receive when we spend time with Him. It’s time to stop feeling guilt, shame, discouraged, alone, stuck and stagnant. It’s time to start choosing freedom and the privilege we have meeting with Jesus every morning.

Each morning is an opportunity to change our perspectives to a Godly one.  It’s an invitation of His presence and His perspective that will prepare us for our day. He will equip us in advance how to handle every battle that is ahead. He is teaching us to be more like Him.

Prayer:

Jesus, I want to see You, to hear You, and to know You so I can become the woman you want me to be. I choose to position myself for true freedom.

Amen
