Three Ways To Find God Through Your Mess

Sometimes life can be a big fat mess!

I woke up today looked around and just thought I am a mess! My life is a mess! Then I had an overwhelming sense of not having it together. I have failed once again!

Sometimes, it’s too much, when I think of all I have to do, want to do, or didn’t do. I can easily get discouraged.

Have you ever felt like an unworthy mess? Does life seem like one struggle after another?

Well no matter how difficult our life can be, or how difficult things can get, there is always hope! There will be stress, there will be trials and of course there will be a mess but we can get through. God will see you through your mess. Whatever you are dealing with will come to end. So, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. That doesn’t mean life will be easy but He will see us though the troubles.

James 1: 2-4 (ERV) – My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering. If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be.

Through these verses there are 3 Ways to Find God in Your Mess:

1. Be happy through your troubles! Isaiah 35:10 (GW) – The people ransomed by the Lord will return. They will come to Zion singing with joy. Everlasting happiness will be on their heads [as a crown]. They will be glad and joyful. They will have no sorrow or grief.

2. Know that your faith is being tested! 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) – My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.

3. Be patient in suffering! James 5:10 (GNT) – My friends, remember the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord, Take them as examples of patient endurance under suffering.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for seeing me in my mess and yet still loving me. Help me to be happy through my troubles knowing it is testing and strengthen my faith. I know having patience through my mess in life will make me mature and be all that You want me to be!

Amen!
