It is a new year! I can hardly believe we are in 2019! I am so excited. Not only for a new year but for a new beginning. There is nothing like making plans to map out the new year. It’s awesome to have big dreams for what you want in life.
Every month I host an event with a good friend called Coffee with The Girls. We get together, we have fun, we do bible journaling, we eat food and of course have coffee! Last month we decided to make vision boards for 2019. We prayed and came up with either a word or phrase to motto our next year. My motto is “Live Your Life” God wants to make your wildest dreams come true. Matthew 13:23 (MSG) – The seed cast on good earth is the person who hears and takes in the News, and then produces a harvest beyond your wildest dreams. Whenever I think about my motto I just want to burst out and sing Tedashii’s song “Gotta Live”! You see I have a vision for my life and what God has promised me!
Do you have a vision?
I believe it is important to have a vision for your life. Proverbs 29:18 (CEB) – When there’s no vision, the people get out of control, but whoever obeys instruction is happy.
Do you ever feel like your life is out of control? Do you want to be happy? Are you worn out? Then get a vision for your life!
Life can distract us. It can be hard to have a vision when the pressures of life overcome us. We think we don’t have time for a vision or plan when life itself is hectic and crazy, but without a vision you will never be happy.
Jeremiah 20:9 (NLT) – But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!
There is a fire burning inside of you and until you let it out you will get worn down trying to keep it in!
1 Thessalonians 1:4 (GNB)- Our brothers and sisters, we know that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own.
God has chosen you to be His! He has called you to do great things! Start dreaming big! Start a vision for your life!
Here are three tips to help guide you toward your vision:
- Pray! Seek God, He has placed desires in your heart. Get alone with Him and ask for revelation for your life. Proverbs 3:6 (NLT) – Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
- Write your vision down! Create a vision board, write it on a sticky, post it on your fridge, whatever you need to do. Habakkuk 2:3 (GNT) – Put it in writing because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in the coming but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.
- Dream big! God wants to make your wild dreams come true but you have to do your part. Jesus says in John 15:16 (AMP) – You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as my representative] He may give you.
Prayer,
Father, we thank you that you give us visions and dreams. We thank you for choosing us and making our wild dreams come true. Help us to focus on the vision you have for our lives and not the pressures we deal with daily.
