In the last days the Lord is doing something new in the women. He is using women, inspiring them and empowering them. He is building an army of women to announce the good news.
Psalms 68:11 (GW) – The Lord gives instructions. The women who announce the good news are a large army.
God is raising Women up for such a time as this, to be His army! He wants to use the everyday woman to do His work. But the devil wants to keep us women distracted. If we are distracted, we are not doing what we are called to do. God has a purpose and a plan for you. You might be questioning what your purpose is. Well, sisters, I am here to tell you that you have a high calling from God!
1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG) – But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people. God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you- from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.
We feel like we have no purpose. We go through the motions of life wondering, is there is more? At times we might have felt like nothing. Been told we were nothing. We have been abused, neglected and rejected by the ones that we have love. We have felt unworthy. You see we have been putting our value in the wrong things (people and relationships) but it is about time we start putting our value in the Lord and light that fire that is within us.
So, let me ask What Lights your fire?
Jeremiah 20:9 (NLT) –
But if I say I’ll never mention the LORD or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!
This scripture is saying when we take God out of lives when we try to do our own thing, His word is burning like a fire within us. When we hold the fire, it wears us out! How many of us are worn out today? We are just trying to make it through the day! Trying to make it through the week. We have jobs, husbands, kids, bills to pay, a household to manage? We are a busy Women! We have a lot to keep up with and yet we have been blinded. Yes, blinded by the pressures of life. You see if we are blinded that fire within us and not burning, it starts to fizzle out. I have
been reading a book Armed and Dangerous by John Ramirez, chapter 9 is called Fighting back with Our God-Given Authority in Jesus.
“As the Church of Jesus Christ, which He left on the earth to represent His name, we are empowered to take down demonic strongholds, defeat the devil’s game plan and go into the devil’s territory without fear and wreak havoc. We do all this by our God-given authority that Jesus won for us at the cross. Too often we allow unbelievers to dictate to us how we should live. We even allow the craftiness of the world to creep into the Church and weaken our relationship with the Lord, watering down our call and the responsibility God left us. The devil has used pressures to weaken our God-given authority. Beating us down spiritually to the point of compromise- making us believe that we have lost our way.”
It’s about time we take the blinders off and wake up. We have been blinded by life instead of living the life of fire that is in us.
So, let me ask What Lights your fire?
Let’s define fire. Fire is a fervent or passionate emotion or enthusiasm. So, let me ask again what lights your fire? Let me tell you The Lord wants you passionate and enthusiastic about Jesus! He wants you on fire for Him. What can we do to rekindle the fire when it starts to go out? The answer is found in
Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) – Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflamed. Be alert servants of the master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times pray all the harder.
Here are 5 tips from this scripture that can help rekindle that fire and keep you from being burnt out:
- Keep yourself fuel and aflame! Don’t let your flame burn out! How do we do that? By spending time with Jesus. Just like when the fire starts going out in our marriage. We start investing in extra time with our husbands. The same is true with our daddy in heaven, we need to invest in our relationship to say aflamed.
- Be alert! We need to be on our toes. The devil tries to steal, kill and destroy. If we are not alert we open that door for him to come in.
- Cheerfully expect! We need to have an attitude of faith and expectancy, knowing He is ready to do great thing in your life.
- Don’t quit! TD Jakes said “You face your greatest opposition when you’re closest to your biggest miracle”.
- Pray all the harder! When we are worn out and need to relight that fire we need to pray. Claim the promises our daddy gave us, claim the impossible. Dream wildly!
Matthew 13:23 (MSG) – “The seed cast on good earth is the person who hears and takes in the News, and then produces a harvest beyond your wildest dreams.”
God wants our wildest dreams to come true! He can do the impossible (read Ezekiel 37, Valley of dry bones).
God wants to open your graves of exile and RISE you up into a great army! He wants to do the impossible and make your wildest dreams come true! You may be here today in a valley of dry bones. Maybe you lost all hope. But God, is tell you to speak life into those dry bones. Make the fire come out of them. I don’t know what you have gone through or where you are at, but with God in your life I know where you are going. God wants you to speak life into those dry bones. There is a fire burning in your bones need to come out. The Lord wants you passionate and on fire for Him!! He wants you to be a DIVA in Christ. Don’t get me wrong when I say diva I don’t mean walk around with your nose in the air and like everyone owes you money.
The definition of Diva in the urban dictionary says.
A diva is to describe a person who has great style and personality with confidence and expresses their own style and not letting others influence who they are or want to be. A person whose character makes them stand out from the rest.
You need to be a DIVA in Christ! And this is how you do it. You put on your red lipstick, put on that cute outfit, those sparkly shoes and you keep your head lifted high. You shine that fire that’s in you for the Lord. Let me tell you, no one is going to notice you if you are all ragged out. But when you are looking good for the Lord and shining that fire other women will be attracted to you and want to know your secret. Well, let me tell you my secret, Jesus. Without Jesus, all this is a mess but when I am a diva for Christ I shine His glory!
Here are some scriptures that prove you are a DIVA in Christ:
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Isaiah 62:3 (GNT) – You will be like a beautiful crown for the Lord.
Deuteronomy 7:6 (NLT) – You Lord have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.
You have been set apart as holy and handpicked by the Lord with a High Calling. Let me say that again WITH A HIGH CALLING! You are called to tell others of the night and day difference the Lord has made in your life. You are called to be a diva in Christ to show off the fire of the Lord that is burning in you. It’s about time to talk to those old dry up bones and speak life and let that fire come out of them. Speak the impossible. Put on your crown Victorious women! Because you are a special treasure, you are a masterpiece, you are called to shine the fire of the Lord through you!
So what lights your fire?
Father, right now we speak to the old dry bones in us and pray for the Holy Spirit to set them on fire! You can make the impossible happen and want to make our wildest dreams come true! We give our hopeless situations to you knowing that you can turn all things around for good. Thank you for lighting set a fire in me that will shine your glory and help me be the Diva you have called me to be.
Amen!
