Two Ways To Prepare For Spiritual Battle

Today I want to talk about spiritual battle. If you are a Christian at some point you have gone through this, or maybe you are going through this now. I want to let you know you already have the victory. Going through the process of trials can be hard but we need to remember we have already won. There are two ways to prepare for a spiritual battle.

1. Pray!

-Philippians 4:6-7 (CEV)– Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.

-Isaiah 55:6 (AMP) – Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him [for salvation] while He is near.

-1 Chronicles 16:11 (AMP) – Seek the Lord and all His strength; Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence].

2. Reading the Word!

-Romans 10:17 (ESV) – So faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ.

-Joshua 1:8 (NLT) – Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.

-2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

So we have good work to do and the devil wants to stop it. That is why it is important to seek God early so we can be prepared for any battles we are about to face. God is always ready to reveal to us our part but are we listening? When we are facing anything, it can be a sickness, depression, anxiety, pray. Pray about everything God wants to hear what you have to say. His word says he will give you peace that will control how you think and feel.

Prayer:

Father, we thank you for our spiritual protection. We know you have given us the weapons to fight against these spiritual battles. Help us to continually seek you and to seek you early not only when we’re in trouble. Give us the strength and wisdom we need each day. I thank you for a hedge of protection around our properties, families, children and ourselves. Have your angels guard around us ready to protect. Thank you Lord that you remind us to pray and study your promises so we are always prepared for a spiritual battle.
