Is There More

So today I want to share a prayer I wrote for my book “Honest Prayers From The Thirty-Something Woman”. There are times we go through the motions of life and miss out on the little things. For over a year I have been asking the Lord is there more? I struggle at times to make it through the day between working, being a mother, wife, keeping up with a household, it can be overwhelming. At times I question what is my purpose, Lord is there more you want me to do? The Lord has helped me and I hope if you are asking the same question, this prayer and scriptures will help you too!

So here you go!

Is there more, than waking up in a hurry to get yourself and your family ready? Is there more, than rushing to drop off kids that you would rather spend the day with? Is there more, than fighting traffic to work just to make it there a minute late? Is there more, than working when you want to be at the beach with your husband? Is there more to life? Lord, help me to capture the present moment. Do not let the repetition of life take the joys from the moments we have in each day. You Lord, are more than enough, help me to remember that.

Matthew 6:25 (NLT) – That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life- whether you have enough.

Psalm 37:19 (NLT) – They will not be disgraced in hard time, even in famine they will have more than enough.

Genesis 33:11 (NLT) – Please take this gift I brought you, for God has been very gracious to me. I have more than enough.

Thank you, Father for the awesome gift of life you have blessed me with. You are gracious and wonderful. Help me to remember you are more than enough when I question, is there more.
